Some Photos of Our Work

Contemporary Garden

  • Mr and Mrs Anon:

“I can highly recommend Harrington Porter. We found the company very professional with a high level of service. The design ideas for our garden were well thought out, easy to maintain as well as in keeping with our modern house. From the start I felt confident that the project would run smoothly and I was delighted with the end result. We had the same team throughout the project and they always arrived on time and were highly courteous and hard working.”

We were commissioned to build and transform front and back gardens of this unique London property.

  • Working to a specific budget we came up with a design to compliment this contemporary new build house in Wandsworth. The clients had a very strong sense of style, obvious throughout their home, and the design was carefully considered to work alongside this, whilst taking into consideration their three children.

Not wanting to try and match the interior exactly nor clash with the strong style of the building’s exterior, the design is based on clean, sharp lines and simple layout.

  • Taking into account the 2 large Yew trees, a split level garden has been created, to try and create as much level area as possible for the kids to play in. Artificial lawn was chosen as opposed to real grass for its practicality, being both beneath the tree’s canopy and three pairs of stomping feet. Render block walls mimic the house and a “floating” bench sits on the west-facing side catching the last of the evening rays.

Features include low maintenance woodland planting, a stainless steel water feature, remote controlled up-lighting, automatic irrigation, and a suspended swing seat.

  • The planting of the front has also taken into consideration the overall style with clipped Buxus heding, lollipop Bay trees and rounded pebbles, all included in the planting scheme at the rear. A splash of colour comes with under planting of Alium Purple Sensation and crimson Tulips.
